Holy hell, pals.
Wild Child is finally open.
This was a Herculean feat, the likes of which I’ve never experienced in my 6+ years of business ownership. Several times, I was convinced we would never actually make it here. Thankfully, I was wrong, and this little shop is both really, truly open and very, very cute.
AND SO. NOW WE MUST PARTY.

What is Abbondaza, you (and everyone who works for me) might ask?
Abbondanza is literally ABUNDANCE. Abbondanza is FEASTING. Abbondanza is WEARING VELVET/SEQUINS/GOLD LAMÉ*. Abbondanza is a throwback to my days at The Wine Bottega and their traditional blowout holiday tasting. The word is also used as a salutation meant to wish a friend prosperity in their ventures, so I felt like it was fitting to christen our new shop this way.
In the spirit of ABBONDANZA, here’s what we have planned for Saturday:
30-plus fine & rare wines open to taste! All wines offered will also be 10% off, so it’s a GREAT opportunity to taste a bunch of fancy stuff and plan your holiday wine selection/wine gifts in advance. It’s an open-house format, so you can come any time, but most of these wines are really, really limited, so the early bird gets the Cru Burgundy, so to speak.
MANY CHEESES + MUCH CHARCUTERIE. I’ve also invested in a gallon of cornichons. So.
Stick-and-poke tattoos by Kat OHare! They’ll be offering some pretty adorable food-and-wine-related flash, and I would be honored to get a matching tattoo with any of you.
A Polaroid photo booth so we can all commemorate how cute we look.
A FREE copy of The History of the World in 10 Dinners, while supplies last.
PLEASE RSVP! Food and wine are free, polaroids and tattoos are available for purchase from the respective folks contributing their services. An RSVP helps us make sure we have enough glassware and cheese on hand!

ALSO! WINE SCHOOL IS BACK IN SESSION!
ML pulled out all the stops for December’s syllabus, and classes are somehow already going fast even though we haven’t promoted them at all. And you know what makes a great gift? A fun night out at wine school in our BRAND NEW CLASSROOM.
AND FINALLY! WINE CLUB HAS RETURNED!
We really, really missed wine club. We love choosing the wines every month, we love chitchatting with all our club members at the monthly pickup parties, and we love hearing from you about the bottles you liked best. So we’re REALLY JAZZED to be picking up where we left off with three tiers of club membership, and a brand new iteration of our beloved book + bottle club.
A few folks have already gifted this to their loved ones/kind of to themselves because they share a household with the person they’re giving it to (smart, smart). And NOW, thanks to our shiny new license, club members can also add on an unlimited number of bottles to their monthly subscription, giving you max flexibility when you know you have hosting gifts, dinner parties, and holiday gatherings on the horizon (or when you just want more wine).
