this! I know some indie cafes have a cash-preferred-will-upcharge-for-cards situation, and I always appreciate the transparency, but they don’t have alcohol licenses so idk how you’d be able to swing that

How about a gas station model? Have a cash price and a credit price and people can do what they want.
I wonder if we could do this with the rules around discounting on-premise alcohol
