Heavy Rotation: Dirrty and Wet Tomato Sandwiches
Not sure we can quit hot tomato summer just yet. ๐ ๐ฅ๐ฅ
What Weโre Making:
No one asked for this, but we knew you needed it. The humble tomato experienced multiple ways on a warm summer day. Shoutout to everyone who came by and got a BLT or a tomato water martini. This time of year gives us so much as far as produce goes. This was our way of celebrating this seasonโs biggest red star.
What Weโre Listening To:
Weโre serious when we talk about throwback Thursdays. Christina Aguilera changed many lives in 2002 when Stripped dropped. Thereโs something for everybody on it โ self-love ballads, a few feminist anthems, songs about a man falling short and most importantly, Dirrty. Too dirrty to clean my act up, in fact! Mostly because sweat is already dripping over our bodies from the humidity and the dancing we do should be a little naughty. Unruly, even (see, even Christina reads this newsletter).
What Weโre Excited About:
Harvest season! Some producers have started picking grapes and are taking their Instagram followers along for the ride. For example, Forlorn Hope is letting us peek behind the curtains a little bit to see how grapes goes from fruit on the vines to juice in our glasses. Their first pick of the year is Pinot Gris thatโll be left on the skins for 10 days.
What Weโre Celebrating (and Reading):
Eater Boston put out a list of the best wine bars in Boston, which is enough cause for celebration. Rebel Rebel and Dear Annie both make appearances, along with a bunch of our friends around town. Congrats to everyone who made the list! ๐พ
