Hello, party people!
I trust you all had A TIME this past week. I hope it was a good one.
Dropping a note here to remind you that our annual collection drive for the YWCA Tanner and Renae’s Place Residences is happening now! Until 12/31, we’re collecting toiletries, clothing, and personal items for the largest woman and family affordable and emergency residence in Cambridge. Last year, we hit a new record of 20 boxes (and since I personally go through all the items before dropoff, I also know we collected some very nice stuff, so thanks for that), and I’d love love love to beat that this year (I’m nothing if not a Capricorn, sorry!).
THE DETAILS!
DROP OFF: At Wild Child from 12-8 or at Rebel Rebel after hours.
COLLECTION ENDS 12/31
WHAT WE’LL COLLECT
Unused, unopened toiletries of all sizes
Diapers (open packages ok)
Baby wipes
Gently used CLEAN clothing, including bras, socks, underwear
Jackets + coats
Hats, mittens, scarves
Gently used CLEAN baby + children’s clothing
Gently used children’s books + toys
Accessories (purses, belts, gently worn shoes)
We want it all!
As someone who once relied on services like these for my own survival, this is an event that’s near and dear to my heart, and I love sorting through these donations every year; it’s a tangible gesture of care, and it brings me a lot of joy. Any questions, please comment here!
