DOMESTIC BLISS
April's programming is all about wine from here. Explore the best of American wine, from New York to New England.
We didn’t necessarily plan this month’s theme to align with winemaker Patrick Cappiello’s recent call to arms, but sometimes the universe tees shit up.
From winemaker visits to BTG takeovers to classes about wine from Anywhere But Napa, we’re going hard for the home team. Here’s how you can, too:
4/18: ANYWHERE BUT NAPA—AKA there are plenty of valleys in the sea. Willamette Valley? Yes! Suisin Valley? You bet! Sierra Foothills? Not even a valley but OF COURSE!
4/18 - 4/21: We’re featuring an all-domestic BTG board all weekend long. We’re also co-hosting a domestic wine dinner with Bar Mezzana + haley.henry, for those of you on the other side of the river. Get tix via Bar Mezzana.
4/20: We’re screening Living Wine, the award-winning documentary that follows a group of Northern California winemakers (including our friend Megan Bell) during the largest wildfire season on record. The screening is free, but donations will be collected to benefit Megan’s quest to buy a new truck after it was destroyed by an errant, enormous tree (ugh).
4/25: MATTHEW RORICK GUEST TEACHES WINE SCHOOL! The man, the myth, the legend of Forlorn Hope will be here to blow your minds. It’ll be an exceptional way to end the month of celebrations, and we’ll certainly sell out so grab your tix soon!
AND FINALLY!
A little off-topic, but on 4/16 we also have a post-Marathon double-whammy with Josefa of Louis Dressner Selection and Mark of José Pastor Selections! They’re co-teaching! They’re superstars! Don’t miss this one!
