A version of this newsletter went out yesterday with the incorrect date for our custom merch event with Big D! I would blame this on mom brain, but really it’s the way I use my Google Cal and my inability to differentiate between days when I’m viewing it in list mode. It happens frequently, as evidenced by the correction sent about our Tuscany event in yesterday’s newsletter, which I also mistakenly listed as occurring on the day following its actual scheduled date. And yet, I continue to do it! What a life.
ANYWAY! Big D comes on Saturday, May 4th! MARK YOUR CALENDARS LOL
Here’s the rest of the corrected newsletter:

THE RETURN OF BIG D
This is a bittersweet (but mostly sweet one).
This year, in an effort to stop putting shit into the waste stream, we decided to cut way (way, way) back on producing new merch. This was a tough one for us, because y’all love merch (and we love paying our rent). HOWEVER. This is not the end of cute shit!
We’re proud, happy, and hopeful to announce that this decision means we’re doubling down both on our relationship with the planet AND with the community of makers who specialize in reducing, reusing, and recycling. It’s an upcycle moment, babes. Get into it.
In the spirit of renewed commitment to our values, we’re bringing back everybody’s favorite stamp queen, BIG D.
One-of-a-kind, custom merch on your own clothing (or on Big D’s thrifted and secondhand blanks) is coming your way on SATURDAY, MAY 4th! 1-6PM!
If you joined us last year, you know that the line for one of Big D’s designs was literally around the corner, so plan accordingly! Fresh stamps and new designs are underway this year, so even if you rolled through last time, there’s something hot waiting for you :) No tix required, but pop it on the cal!
TONIGHT
The hits keep coming! We’re closing out April’s DOMESTIC BLISS theme with a real banger. Join us for what promises to be a singularly wild night with the man, the myth, the legend: winemaker Matthew Rorick.
You know and love the wines of Forlorn Hope (and their everyday Queen of the Sierra label, which may or may not have kept our lights on during the deep pando)—now’s your chance to love the guy who makes them, too. Matt’s class at Wild Child tomorrow evening is sold out, but he’ll be heading down to Rebel around 7PM for a board takeover and hang sesh. Come do a ramato layback and get weird.
BONUS WINE 101: TUSCANY
(This event was also featured in this week’s Heavy Rotation newsletter, but the Eventbrite date was incorrect, so here’s a little correction!)
It's an old school Sunday Wine 101 diving into the future of Tuscany—with one if its leading natural winemakers.
Join us for an hour of tasting and conversation with Dario Marinari of Agricola i Forestieri, a small but forward-thinking estate that's part of the redefinition of Tuscan winemaking.
While Agricola i Forestieri is a young estate, Marinari himself brings a wealth of experience to his craft, having cut his teeth working in vineyards and wineries in both Italy and France. He was an apprentice to the folk-legend Stefano Amerighi in Cortona, and gained experience in biodynamic agriculture and natural winemaking at Agricola Le Nuvole, Mas de Daumas Gassac before landing at one of our favorite projects—Ampeleia.
This promises to be an insightful and exciting afternoon!
Tickets to this one-hour class include 4 tasting pours of Forestieri wines. Ticketholders are welcome to remain after class to ask questions with Dario, who plans to hang with us until 2!
